The certification process is governed by the Canada Labour Code and overseen by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB). As an Organizing Committee, we are collecting representation cards from interested pilots, with a mandatory $5.00 fee applicable to a membership fee.
Eight years ago this week, 1,400 WestJet pilots voted to join ALPA. We recognized, like many of you have now, that joining ALPA would be immensely beneficial for our pilot group.

Unfortunately, that action is not the end of the issue, as this situation highlighted our need to seek governmental changes to how the program is supposed to operate.
