On August 11, the Canada Industrial Relations Board certified the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l as your official bargaining agent. Porter pilots are now members of the world’s largest airline pilot union; your addition brings us to more than 80,000 pilots at 43 Canadian and U.S. airlines.

All Porter pilots should have received an email from Capt. Sean Creed, ALPA’s vice president–administration/secretary with your ALPA ID.

If you filled out a card and paid $5 during the certification process, you are automatically an ALPA member and have access to the full breadth of the Association’s resources! Please log in with your ALPA ID and complete your member record to assist ALPA and Porter leadership in best serving the Porter pilots.

If you did not fill out a card, please complete our online ALPA Membership Application, including your ALPA ID, to become a member today and gain access to everything ALPA offers.

membership campaign


With ALPA support, your temporary reps will conduct a membership drive for Porter pilots who did not fill out a card. Following that, we will hold a membership election for the pilots within the council to elect their local leadership.

ALPA has set a goal of 90 percent membership for the Porter pilot group before conducting these elections, so please complete your membership application today if you haven’t already to reach that goal—and to ensure that you have a voice when elections are held.
