  As you know, a system error with the NavBlue configuration caused our September flight duty times to double. This prevented many of us from getting our assignments based on seniority, leading to a lot of open time and extra unstacking.

  Yesterday, we officially started the bargaining process for our first collective agreement by filing notice to bargain with Porter management under the Canada Labour Code.

  POE Pilot Update 9/10/2025

  Today, your MEC in coordination with ALPA staff, filed notice to bargain under the Canada Labour Code, formally notifying Porter management of our intention to commence negotiations for our first collective agreement. Although meetings with management are not expected to start for a few months, as per Canada Labour Code section 50 (b), this notice was filed to maintain the current statutory freeze over our working conditions.

  The first of our informational meetings with the Interim MEC and ALPA staff was a great success! Following that momentum, the series of meetings continues tomorrow. Pilots from all bases are welcome to attend any of the scheduled meetings.
